Paris Fashion Week

Bonjour! I'm just wrapping up at Paris Fashion Week and can't wait to share with you some of the coolest trends from the Spring 2014 RTW shows. As exciting as it is to attend the shows, one can not help but get giddy over of the psuedo-runways on the street. There's photographers everywhere snapping photos of you and calling your name..."Ms. Kim! Ms. Kim! Over here! Ici, ici! Look at my damn camera!"

Well, here I am in a vintage Jack Mulqueen silk floral dress. Gorgeous, huh? Click below to see more photos...

If you actually clicked on the post...you're either very gullible or too smart to be fooled. Look at the photo...what's wrong with it?

Yes, it's fake and I am damn proud of it! It was A LOT of work but I've learnt many new tricks so it's definitely all worth it. There's still some things I'd like to improve on (such as mimicking the same lighting direction as the background and making myself look more blended in). I'm going to continue doing this sort of photoshopping cause it's hard trying to get out in heels with the kids to do shoots and it sucks to not have a photography partner nor do I have the guts to use the tripod in public. I will call these the Fantasy Fridays series so keep a watch for more.

Back to fashion...this Jack Mulqueen dress was thrifted in LA this summer from a store called Out Of The Closet. Did you know the designer is often referred to as "Fast Jack"? Want to know why? Well...he was infamous for copying looks right off the runway even before stores got their shipments. He was also known as the "Knock-off King of 7th Avenue". Check out the article from People Magazine published in Nov. 1981 for more on him.
